Need of Aushadhashala / Production Unit
Ayurveda, in its own classical text, is described as ‘Ashtanga Ayurveda’ i.e. Ayurveda having eight divisions or wings. Each wing has its own importance. On the same note, Ayurveda is described as ‘Trisutra Ayurveda’. By this example, Ayurveda is considered as a rope made up of three major threads. Those are Hetu (Causes – of both health and illness), Linga/Lakshana (signs & symptoms – of both health and illness), Aushadha (treatments & medicines i.e. majors – for both health and illness).
Thus the thread Aushdha becomes equally important. During Ayurveda practices, one comes to understand that the success of treatment is largely dependent on medicine. It is really highly required to be watchful about assurance of raw material quality, in process quality control, final product standards. All these things reflect in the results.
We are being very keen on health services, decided to develop our own production unit for our hospital. By this way, we are trying our level best to keep the things authentic. It is helping us to have assured quality products while treating the patients.
What are we doing here?
As said before we have right now started a production unit for our hospital use only. So we are going through the needs of the hospital. Simple observations regarding patients visiting here, their food habits, their general lifestyle, climate conditions nearby, common illness occurring in this region etc. are registered to start with. And on basis of those, we have started our production accordingly.
We are updating our information regarding this, and simultaneously updating our product list. While preparing these products we are very rigid about rules & regulations mentioned in Ayurveda texts as well as recent guidelines of manufacturing. These things are leading us to a good success rate.

The patients visiting here are from different locations. They are from various cities like Pune, Mumbai, Nashik etc. as well as from nearby countryside, small towns etc. And simultaneously they are from different financial status. So after observation of few days, we have searched some remedies from Ayurvediyclassical texts; which are simple, cheaper and precisely effective for these people. These remedies are not easily available in nearby market so we started manufacturing those here only. That is making the treatment cost effective for patients from labor class, small farmers etc.

Future plans
We are planning a well-equipped, authentic, large-scale, professionally marketing, registered Ayurvedic pharmacy. In the recent future, we will take steps regarding that.
